Theatre programs and such.
Plays i've worked on
The Lieutenant of Inishmore by Martin McDonagh '08
- the play that got me hooked
Spring Opera (collaboration theatre dept and music dept)
Suor Angelica by Giacomo Puccini & Three Fat Women of Antibes by Mona Lyn Reese's
- the performance that introduced me to opera and i loved it contradicting to popular beliefs where opera is supposed to be old, traditional and boring..... so NOT TRUE :)
Beauty and the beast The true story by Charles Perrault & dramatized by William Glennon
Altar Boyz by Gary Adler, Kevin Del Aguila, Michael Patrick Walker
- my first musical ... oh so exciting, makes me wana jump on my feet and sing to the world .... ahemmmmmm !!!
Every Christmas Story Ever Told by Michael Carlton, Jim Fitzgerald and John K. Alvarez
- actors were the cutest and the nicest people i know in theatre ... and the Christmas jingles were catchy and oh so beautifully arranged :)
The great American Trailer Park Musical by David Nehls
- Such funny and comedic cast ... work didn't feel like work at all. Actors had such talented lovely voices
The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh
- The second time I worked on a play written by Martin McDonaugh. How coincidental is that? Whilst the horrific story, there is still a sense of touch and love... made me cry.
Plays I've attended on and off campus
Urinetown the musical by Mark Hollman & Greg Kotis(SJSU)
The Secret in the Wings by Mary Zimmerman (SJSU)
Splitting Infinity by Jamie Pachino (San Jose Rep)
- by far my favorite. playwright was superb. touches the soul and questions the mind where we never dared or have thought about but never dared to go close to thinking too much about. The set was especially breathtaking. A love story about ourselves, relationships and about each other. A huge bridge across the stage under the dazzling stars at night.
The Foreigner by Larry Shue (San Jose Rep)
Groundswell by Ian Bruce (San Jose Rep)
The Full Monty by Terrance McNally and David Yazbek (American Musical Theatre San Jose)
Always... Patsy Cline based on a true story by Ted Swindley (San Jose Stage Company)
Hidden Talents (Ballet San Jose)
- My very first ballet performance in the US. So much talent. Which i had the opportunity to witness more shows.
p.s. fond memories of college years :)

Happy by Secrets In Stereo
Taking a break from studying for the GRE test. Thought I could use some music as stress relieve. Heard this song while browsing a wedding photography website. The music is very soothing and the lyrics are very touching.
Happy by Secrets In Stereo
I wanna be
next to you
and watch you while you sleep
holding you
lost inside
every breath you breathe
i dont wanna live a day without you
i just wanna be the one that makes you happy, happy
i dont wanna live a day without you
i just wanna be the one that makes you happy, happy
one minute more
a thousand years
it's all the same to me
cause i'm incomplete
and i need you more
with every breath i breathe
i dont wanna live a day without you
i just wanna be the one that makes you happy, happy
i dont wanna live a day without you
i just wanna be the one that makes you happy, happy
i try to let you know
but my words get tangled up
and every time i find that i'm
outside looking in
can't let this moment go
when you're the only one
that makes me feel the way i feel inside
lately i'm falling for you
lately i'm falling for you
i dont wanna live a day without you
i just wanna be the one that makes you happy, happy
i dont wanna live a day without you
i just wanna be the one that makes you happy, happy

The Human Predicament
Man without God cannot reign his own life or his own world. He isn't even capable of controlling his own passions. And therefore he becomes enslaved to the "Pandora box" of unworthy love, jealousy, murder, competitiveness, polygamy and violence.
For all I have sinned
"What comes out of a man is what makes him unclean. For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man unclean" Mark 7: 20-23
"As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands,no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." Romans 3:10-12
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 2:23
As disturbing as it is, every honest, reflective person comes to acknowledge the ugly truth. We generally manage to keep the lid on top of the boiling cauldron, especially in the company of others but this lid barely stays on with great effort.
Evil is just not where blood has been spilled. Evil is the self absorbed human heart. (Ravi Zacharias, Deliver Us From Evil, p.175)
Our insatiable greed is never satisfied with what we already have. What others have always seems better and we live in a constant state of complains. Moments of gratitude and joy are rare. Naturally when "push comes to shove" our basic philosophy of life turns out to be, "if it comes down to you and me, I need to live, so you should die."
The animal that blushes
"Mankind is the only animal that blushes" (Charles Darwin)
"or has any reason to" (Mark Twain)
Man has much to be ashamed of. Moments of shame show that we are aware of the gap between how we truly are and what we ought to be. Perhaps the blushing face is the most honest and true reflection of our nature and a sign of hope for something better.
Evasive maneuvers
Because we loath to admit our sins, we have manage to come up with many ways to evade it.
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives. 1 John 1:8-10
Humanity has perfected the art of denial when it comes to personal sinfulness.
The notion of sin as a psychological hangup
Saying something bad, "not so bad". E.g. He's not sinful, he's just sick. To have the excuse of being sick rather than sinful.
Everybody does it. Or, I am not as bad...
Safety in numbers. Things that everybody else is doing or if they are not as bad, makes people feel good about themselves.
Morality is an entirely personal matter
My morality against yours. My morality vs your morality merely based on personal preferences and taste. Society applauds the person that is "true to yourself". Under this insane believe, an unfaithful spouse, a murderer, a racist becomes an honest person who acted in a way that is "true to yourself".
Certain things are wrong in a basic, fundamental sense, and that personal preference is not the final arbiter of right and wrong. (Bertrand Russell - Atheist)
Love makes moral demands
Love can forbear, and love can forgive but love can never be reconciled to an unlovely object because sin itself is incapable of being altered. (Thomas Traherne, Feast of Magdalen, Apostle to the Apostles)
e.g. A husbad who has been unfaithful confesses to an affair to which his wife says "it's okay, lighten up, for I never took our wedding vows seriously anyway. No harm done. I don't feel the pain, in fact I feel nothing" ......
.... What does this reveal about how the wife viewed the husband all along? What does this reveal about the wife's level of commitment and love for the husband?
The Bible is full of heartfelt descriptions of God's grief over man's rejection of God and His will. God views each human life as highly significant and charged with great stakes because each person's decisions have ultimate consequences.
Jeremiah 31:20, Hosea 11.8, Matthew 23:37

Above All
by: Michael W. Smith
Above all powers, above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You were here before the world began
Above all kingdoms, above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever known
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what you're worth
Crucified
Laid behind a stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all
Above all powers, above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You were here before the world began
Above all kingdoms, above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever known

And thought of me

Flying on the swing,
Cycling in the backyard,
Building sand castle on the beach,
Sitting on the see-saw,
Climbing trees,
Taking peeks around the corner,
Caught peeking around the corner,
Cuddling in the "tree house",
Holding hands,
Having breakfast lunch dinner and supper,
Listening to music,
Laying on the couch,
Watching cartoons and later the movies,
Dancing in the moonlight,
Looking deep into the eyes,
Doing homework or motivation to do homework,
Looking at stars on the rooftop,
Sweeping the bangs out of the face,
Making a fit of the tie,
Screaming when it's going to be late,
Mourning the lost of a love one,
Walking on the beach,
Waiting for sunrise,
Being there for sunset,
Dreaming together till the very end .

Akhirnya (The End) by Innuendo feat Camelia
Somehow i bumped into this song today on youtube.
Really love the lyrics to this Malay language song. So romantic. It's about 2 people being apart. The guy is lonely because he is missing his girl and is still waiting for her in his dreams. He is still searching for her reflection. The girl tells the guy not to be sad because she is always by his side even though her presence felt like a short time. Their relationship means love. They are waiting for the time to come when they will meet again. He perfectly understands her graceful soul. The voice from her heart gives him confidence. They will always be waiting for each other. There will be no end because this truth for it is sown in their hearts. For now they will accept faith, whatever God has plan for them. She will always be the queen of his heart. Their love will be forever because they will receive it together.
Kini ku kesepian
Menantikan kasihmu... ku rindu
Namun hanya impian
Bayanganmu belum kutemu
Usahlah kau bersayu
Ku tetap di sisimu selalu
Walau kehadiranku
Seakan seimbas waktu
* Chorus
Bagai bayu berlalu (ooh... yang masihku rindu)
Yang masih ku merindu
Kaulah segalanya erti cinta
Ku menunggu masa kita
Akhirnya... ooh...
Ku memahami jiwamu
Yang penuh keayuan...sayang
Keluhan hatimu
Kau yang meyakinkan diriku
Ku selalu menantimu
Tiada akhirnya bagi diriku
Kerana keikhlasanmu
Kini tersemai dalam jiwa... kerana...
* Chorus
Rela menerima segala takdir
Begitulah kehendaknya Yang Maha Esa
Dikau ratu dihatiku
Abadilah cinta kita
Bersama menerimanya
* Chorus x2
Akhirnya...

When life takes a back seat
Today was one of those days where i feel very blessed being me. I had lunch with the people i love and who love me. I had a great time at the park/lake with friends whom i adore and hopefully whom adores me too. There were no worries. Just taking in and enjoying the feeling of peace and happiness and gratefulness.

Greatest sadness
The greatest sadness is knowing that
Even when I stand in front of you
I am still invisible to you
Fate will forever keep us apart
But I will always love you
(written in 2006)
p.s. it's okay to love and lost than to never have love at all
Even when I stand in front of you
I am still invisible to you
Fate will forever keep us apart
But I will always love you

Creed - the satirical poem
We believe in Marxfreudanddarwin
We believe everything is OK
as long as you don't hurt anyone
to the best of your definition of hurt,
and to the best of your knowledge.
We believe in sex before, during, and after marriage.
We believe in the therapy of sin.
We believe that adultery is fun.
We believe that sodomy’s OK.
We believe that taboos are taboo.
We believe that everything's getting better
despite evidence to the contrary.
The evidence must be investigated
And you can prove anything with evidence.
We believe there's something in horoscopes
UFO's and bent spoons.
Jesus was a good man just like Buddha,
Mohammed, and ourselves.
He was a good moral teacher though we think
His good morals were bad.
We believe that all religions are basically the same-
at least the one that we read was.
They all believe in love and goodness.
They only differ on matters of creation,
sin, heaven, hell, God, and salvation.
We believe that after death comes the Nothing
Because when you ask the dead what happens
they say nothing.
If death is not the end, if the dead have lied, then its
compulsory heaven for all
excepting perhaps
Hitler, Stalin, and Genghis Kahn
We believe in Masters and Johnson
What's selected is average.
What's average is normal.
What's normal is good.
We believe in total disarmament.
We believe there are direct links between warfare and
bloodshed.
Americans should beat their guns into tractors .
And the Russians would be sure to follow.
We believe that man is essentially good.
It's only his behavior that lets him down.
This is the fault of society.
Society is the fault of conditions.
Conditions are the fault of society.
We believe that each man must find the truth that is right for him.
Reality will adapt accordingly.
The universe will readjust.
History will alter.
We believe that there is no absolute truth
excepting the truth
that there is no absolute truth.
We believe in the rejection of creeds,
And the flowering of individual thought.
If chance be
the Father of all flesh,
disaster is his rainbow in the sky
and when you hear
State of Emergency!
Sniper Kills Ten!
Troops on Rampage!
Whites go Looting!
Bomb Blasts School!
It is but the sound of man
worshipping his maker.

Sin & its Consequences
What is sin?
Our sinful nature produces sins (behavior contrary to God's laws and commands).
The "I" problem.
Man becomes his own authority, putting themselves before God.
The consequences of sin
Genesis account of the fall (Genesis 3:7-12)
The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame (Genesis 2:25)
Three Broken relationships
Sin destroys relationships and creates alienation.
1. Man and man
We create many categories of classification, and if we think someone is in the same category as ourselves, we constantly compete with that person. Someone else's good is experiences as a personal diminishment. E.g. Cain felt the need to kill his brother to eliminate competition.
2. Man and himself
Adam felt no guilt until he sinned against God. Sin leads to insecurities and loneliness. Guilt leads man to build a fortress around themselves. This is the only avenue man knows of to experience security - a fear driven effort to be well defended and safe from pain and involvement. In response we throw ourselves into work, entertainment to deaden the growing sense of hollowness. We have become so many people that we ask ourselves - who am I?
3. Man and God
The alternative to not believing in God is not that you believe nothing, it is that you will believe anything (G.K. Chesterton)
Rejecting God meant losing true intimacy and also the start to worshipping other things.
- Idolatry
The magnitude of these idolatry in terms of dollars wasted on them are so great that any effort to dismiss these as insignificant diversions is a form of denial.
Idols = fantasy + falsehood + dehumanization
- Relativism
When there is no truth, people don't need to look for truth.
Everyone did as they saw fit (Judges 21:25)
Maintains that criteria and judgement vary with individuals and their environment.
Orphans by choice
Fearing rejection, we don a mask of apathy and hardness, "I don't care" attitude. When deep down inside we do really care. Man rapidly deteriorate into isolation, fear and selfishness. Man apart from God is miserable, lost and directionless.
p.s. No peace between man can be had unless man realizes that his fellow man is his brother. But with no notion of the fatherhood of God, there can be no brotherhood of men.

But with no notion of the fatherhood of God, there can be no brotherhood of men.

movies that lead the audience on... and then what???
why does most movies that has "the end of the world" theme has to lead to an ending that relates to an alien but not to the existence of God???
If man can accept that there is a creation and death. Man should believe that there is God. Not some sort of alien.
Disappointed with Hollywood movies these days. Some people should get a better screenwriter.... with all these crap going around
what ..... The day the earth stood still ???

Belaian Jiwa
Seindah tiada lagi kau ku ingatkan
Sayang kau hilang
Menanti biar sampai akhir hayat ku di dunia ini
Kau tahu bertapa ku sayang padamu
Hanya bidadari sebagai ganti
Hanya takdir menentukan ia
Oh belaian jiwa
Oh angin, sampaikan lagu ku padanya
yang sedih pilu
Terimalah lagu ku jadi teman hidup mu
Untuk selamanya
Kau tahu bertapa ku sayang padamu
Hanya bidadari sebagai ganti
Hanya takdir
Menentukan ia
Oh belaian jiwa
p.s. aku menanti kehadiran bidadariku disampingku
Sayang kau hilang
Menanti biar sampai akhir hayat ku di dunia ini
Kau tahu bertapa ku sayang padamu
Hanya bidadari sebagai ganti
Hanya takdir menentukan ia

Untuk selamanya

Hanya takdir
Menentukan ia
Oh belaian jiwa
p.s. aku menanti kehadiran bidadariku disampingku
Di persimpangan dilema
Masa berlalu
Tanpaku menyedari
Percintaan yang kita bina
Hampir terlerai
Apa salahku
Kau buatku begini
Dalam dilema
Di antara jalan derita
Tidak pernah kuduga
Ini semua terjadi
Janganlah engkau
Menghancurkan segala
Setelah lama
Kita mengharungi bersama
Usah biarkan
Cinta kita yang suci
Dilambung ombak
Karam dilautan berduri
Hanya satu pintaku
Moga kau menginsafi
Telah banyak yang kuberi
Sejak dulu lagi
Pengorbanan tiada pernah jemu
Hanyalah Tuhan saja
Bisa menentukan semua
Kesabaran daku menantimu
Kutetap memaafkan
Dan berdoa kau kembali
Sebelum diri melangkah pergi
p.s. memori lama kembali
Tanpaku menyedari
Percintaan yang kita bina
Hampir terlerai
Apa salahku

p.s. memori lama kembali
Aku cinta padamu
Terdahulu sebelumnya
Andaiku curah rasa hati
Mungkin kini... kukan tenang di sampingmu
Belum puasku menikmati
Kesan kasih sayang kau terpaksa pergi
Ingin ku terus dicintai mu
Walau bisikanmu azimat berduri
Bila cinta
Berbunga
Jadi airmata dijariku
Betapaku cinta padamu
Katakanlah kau cinta padaku
Sematkanlahku dihatimu
Walau dimana berada
Ingatku dalam doamu
Hiasilah hati
Dengan cinta suci
Selamanya
Gemerlapan jiwa
Semikanlah cinta
Semoga kau dan aku
Akhirnya bersama
Aku kan menunggu
Walaupun seribu
Tahun lagi

Creation & the Fall
In the beginning....
everything has its being in the sovereign God.
Why did God look at the physical creation and call it good?
What is the basis of this goodness?
God was anticipating how you and I would enjoy all the handiwork He made, all in perfect proportion to mankind, to whom God has given a very special charge.
The intolerable compliment
The beginning of a long and growing relationship between the heavenly Father and his children is anticipated. The dominant theme of this relationship is God's love.
The relationship between the Creator and creature. Our life is at every moment supplied by Him. He has paid us the intolerable compliment of loving us in the deepest, most tragic, most inexorable sense.
The more love there is, the more we are bothered to be loved. But God loves us and really wants us to change for the better.
The Fall
God created things which had free will. Freedom to choose or to reject. To love is the most free thing we can do. The entry to the inner sanctum of our heart is entirely ours to give or withhold. One who seeks genuine love must allow the other person the option of rejection. If there is no way to reject someone, then there is no way to love that person either. Any love under such circumstances would be illusory.
Love=Freedom
The choice to reject
Many people have misconstrued that the forbidden fruit was a kind of trap which God designed for the downfall of mankind. In fact, every significant relationship has its own built in forbidden fruit. E.g.
Husband and wife ~ adultery
Friends ~ disloyalty
These prohibitions define each relationship, provide boundary lines which the relationship can achieve beauty and provide security. Without theses, the relationship will lose their meaning and significance in our lives.
To reject someone who has a relationship with you is one of the most hurtful things that can be done. That is why any form of betrayal(a weapon only in the hands of those you love) hurts so much.
Essence of sin
The "I" problem. Which is also called pride.
Adam and Eve, they decided to serve themselves and not God. Sin is the inner desire to rule over self and play "God" in our lives.
The denial of our relationship with God is the essence of sin.
Life without God
As a result of the first sin, death entered into human life and is an inevitable reality. Death is the only unconquerable enemy of mankind but also causes us to see with greater clarity the proper priorities of life.
"You cannot understand the meaning of life so do not think about it, but live,I can no longer do it; I have already done it too long. I cannot now help seeing day and night bringing me to death. That is all I see, for that alone is true. All else is false (Leo Tolstoy).

The other woman
I know that love isn't enough. That you have to cherish the people you love, that saying I love you isn't ever enough, that you have to show that love each and every day, even when life threatens to get in the way.
The greatest weakness of most humans is their hesitancy to tell others how much they love them while they are alive.
pg 115, The Other Woman (Jane Green)
p.s. honor awaits the heart that is true to itself

Perhaps Love ( 如果爱)
Life is like a film
Everyone of us plays the leading role in our own film
Some others might assume that they play the co-leading role in someone else's film
But in fact, they merely play a supporting role or a small part
Or worse, their scenes could have been taken out during editing
He/she just doesn't know it yet
Like a mother and her daughter
The little girl would certainly be the lead in her mother's film
Yet in 10 years, how important would the role of the mother be in her daughter's film?
It would be beautiful if someone is responsible for keeping track on those deleted footages
To make sure they are intact
Because people do make mistakes while editing
When they realize that they made the wrong cuts
Then the deleted footages could be delivered back to them
~ taken from the movie Perhaps Love, in the process some of the lines were modified to balance my thoughts

What is Life?
Life is a tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury, signifying nothing
(William Shakespeare)
Life is like a smooth stone thrown across the surface of a river - it bounces along, until like life itself, it loses momentum and sinks into nothingness
(Soren Kierkegaard)
What is man worth? They got to do what they came to do and escaped unnoticed. What is unusual about this story is that they took nothing. But what they did instead was they change the cost of everything. Price tags were swapped. These pranksters took the tag of a $395.00 camera and stuck it on a $5.00 stationery. They repriced almost everything in the store. Still, the craziest part happened the next morning. The store opened as usual. The employees went to work. Customers shopped. The place functioned as normal for 4 hours before anyone noticed what happened. Some people got some bargains. others got fleeced. For 4 solid hours no one noticed that the values of the goods has been swapped (Max Lucado, No Wonder they Call Him Savior, pp. 31-32).
This should not have happened because we see the same things happening everyday. We a deluge by a distorted value system. We see the most valuable things in our lives peddled for pennies and we see the cheapest smut go for millions.
What causes us to elevate the body and degrade the soul? What causes us to pamper the skin while we pollute the heart?
Our values are messed up. It all began when someone convinced us that the human race is headed nowhere. That man has no destiny. That we are a cycle. That there is no reason to existence. That we are meaningless people trapped on earth that has no destination. The earth is just a spinning mausoleum. That creation was accidental and humanity has no direction.
If man has no destiny then he has no duty, obligation and responsibilities. If man has no destiny, he has no guidelines or goals. If man has no destiny, who is to say what is right or wrong? It is your value system against mine.
If man has no destiny, man has no value. Man has no future and he isn't worth much. There is no reason to be here, therefore there is no value. And then our system goes haywire. We feel useless and worthless.
And then we create false value systems. Value is now measured by several criteria; appearance and performance. This doesn't leave much to the unborn child or the handicapped or the ugly or the aged or the uneducated. We all have become nameless numbers on mislaid lists (Max Lucado, No Wonder they Call Him the Savior).
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:25-26
No matter how ridiculously man has switched the value tags, God is not misleading. Man has a destiny, duty and worth. No matter how hard man try to build a physically comfortable life, there will always be sorrow, a yearning and a homesickness that will rob him of rest (C.S. Lewis)
Thou hast made us for thyself and our souls shall always be restless until they find their rest in Thee. (Saint Augustine in the 4th century)

A Delicious New Musical
THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL
Music and Lyrics by David Nehls
Book by Betsy Kelso
There's a new tenant at Armadillo Acres, and she wreaking havoc all over Florida's most exclusive trailer park. When Pippi, the stripper on the run, comes between the Dr. Phil-loving, agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband, the storms begin to brew. The Village Voice calls it "a show that actually lives up to the hype of its title." and, according to Broadway.com, "a sparkling, sharp irreverence lights up this musical and makes it one of the most laugh-out-loud shows in town."

The road not taken
I remembered many years ago, I had to read some poems for English literature time. One of it stood out to me. Though I did not remember the poet but till this very day I still remembered the meaning behind the poetry. This very day, I want to especially remind myself of it. "The Road Not Taken". For some of us, many of times in our lives, we had to make choices. Some more important than others. What should I eat for breakfast so that I don't get too full and get sleepy during work? What time should I leave for class/work? Should I take the car or the public transport today? What major should I choose? Should I buy the house? My situation might not be that big, but I do not take it the least smallest at all at this moment in my life. What kind of job should I be looking for? Will this job give me benefits? Am I going to be fulfilled from doing this? Can this job take me to better place? Is this what I want? Can I see myself doing this for the next 5 or 10 years? What should I do if i get laid off in 1 year? Can this experience help me find a better job? These are the questions running through my head. Compared to the professionals (engineers, computer engineers, lawyers, accountants, doctors, nurses etc)... I feel like nothing. Because my path, like the poem, is the road not taken. Will I be taking this road less traveled?

Suara hatiku
Bagaikan ombak hancur di atas batu
Segala rintangan yang ku lalui
Untuk anda rasa bangga
Tapi
Segala ini hanyalah
Satu kenangan
Satu impian
Jikalau aku membina satu imaginasi manis
Untuk melupakan yang pahit
Segala ini boleh dilupakan
Bagaikan ombak hancur di atas batu.

Congratulations little one. I'm so proud of you. Hang on there. You might not know what is your destiny now. But do not ever give up. If others can do it, you can do it too. And with an extra work, you can do it even better. And don't you ever fall prey to laziness. The root of all evil. Remember that whatever you do, keep being humble and kind and resourceful and continue to learn for knowledge is infinite. Also, whatever you do, you will have your family and friends by your side, motivating and setting good examples for you. Most of all, God is great! He guides you into something making sure you will be able to overcome it. With the love of the Father, no mountain is too high to climb, no ocean is to wide to swim across. The impossible is possible through the love of God.

The epitome of 5 years in undergrad school has finally come to an end. The curtains are getting ready to close. Would never have thought that it all ended with 3 pages of "fill in the blanks" in stage management today. I guess the feeling hasn't sunk in with me yet. I think I need a couple more days to digest. Or maybe after commencement, it will finally sink in that I am going to be one of the statistics among the unemployed. Mixed feelings but definitely a blessing. A chapter closed and a new one is coming. What will the title of the chapter be? Will find out. But hopefully not for too long.

A dash of wicked passion
A sudden rush of adrenalin
Is it really love
Or is it just lust
Or a desire
To want what you don't have
To want what others have
Such feelings are just momentary
Beware, do not be tempted
Be faithful
Be patient
For your time will come

Part of the family
Just finish watching Marley and Me on my laptop. Took me 3 days to watch it since my schedule is super tight this week with classes, work and tech rehearsals that could drag long till midnight. Anyway, Marley and Me is just a regular family drama but it touches my heart because it talks about a dog and just not any dog but a pet close to home. Seeing Marley being picked out from the bunch as the "clearance puppy". And from being the uncontrollable dog to being part of the family. It is scenes like this that touch my heart. My family has a cat too and she is called Bebee. I've seen her grown from a kitty to a beauty. I bathed her, fed her, played with her. Made her exercise on the treadmill when I was too lazy to. Going to bed with her and most of all being greet by her screams in the morning. I missed all those times. I haven't been home for 3 years now and it is a long time. She wouldn't be able to remember me anymore but I will always love her. Hopefully I get to go home soon and spend time with her =)

Meaning of color
Sunny day 4th day in a row. I love the California sunshine. But this humid weather is just a little too much for spring. Feels like summer instead. Do you know that colors are influenced by the environment? Colors affect the mood of people. Sometimes it is subconscious but sometimes it is physical. One good example is that rehabilitation centers and hospitals have a pink room. Studies have found that if you put an extremely violent person in a pink room, it can calm them down. So let's also look into the effects of other colors on our moods:
yellow - cheerful, serene, aggressive
orange - distressed, stimulating, disturb
red - loving, exciting, strong
green - youthful, fresh, calm
blue - pleasant, cool, secure
violet - dignified, sad, depressing
black - melancholy, unhappy, fearful
white - pure, tender, soothing
brown - secure, comfortable, disagreeable

Avoided the water but underestimated the cactus
I was on my way out to class today when my neighbor was washing her car. The floor was obviously wet and right in front of me was a puddle which was not going to go anywhere. So being the smart me, I decided to avoid the pool of water by walking at the side most edge as I could along the pots of plants against the wall. Unfortunately, I was too ignorant to realize the plant were not just any plants. It was a big cactus the size of a pot of orchids. Before I could avoid it, the thorns from the cactus has stuck on to the sleeves of my black sweater and some of it even pierced through the sweater and grazed the surface of my left arms. I hurriedly pull up my sleeves to see tiny thorns sticking out my arms. It was a funny scene as I felt like a cactus myself. But funny as it was, it quickly became scary. I felt a little oozy and my arms quickly turned red. At the moment I thought I was going to die. If so, I would probably be the first person to die from cacti allergy if there is such thing. Anyway, it has been a couple of hours since. I manage to get rid of the thorns that I could see and just try to ignore those that I couldn't. Lesson learned, observe your surroundings. Don't take advantage of the slightest things that you pass by daily. You never know when it might jump out and surprise you.
p.s. from dream to scene, this is what i hope this blog would be about
